La Furia Roja

So i'll open this blog with a bit about the most eventful weekend and most important of my entire life! The World Cup Finals, Netherlands vs Spain. Spain won in the 120th minute. They scored, Iniesta with assist from Torres, at the 117th minute. SO fucking nervous up until then. I let it all out with a ROAR when that ball beat the goalie and smacked the back of the net. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

I had a good friend of mine paint my chaplain. I knew it was going to be damn good but it's perfect. Originally, it was going to be only 10 bucks but he did it for free! I can't say how much I appreciate such a fine paintjob, especially from a damn good buddy. You can check out his blog! Look in my followers for Sam. And here is a picture of the chaplain. (He also took this picture. My camera sucks.)

Speaking of my camera, by the way. It'll be a while until I post a picture of anything i've painted. I'll continue to post and TRY to take some pictures. However, I lost my cord to charge my camera. I do have some battery life. I'll try to get the most out of it while I can until I buy a new cord or find the original. None the less. To give you an update. I painted all my Assault Terminators. I'm working on finishing their bases, which i'm half done with. I completely painted my Metal Venerable Dreadnought, which looks damn sexy. >:D And I still gotta finish my Vindicator.

My next post will have some pictures and a list I wrote. Sam is leaving Pensacola here soon so he said he'd do a 2k with me and i'll share the list here. Hopefully he won't spy in to check it out and figure out how to beat it. ;) I'm proud of the list though. First time I used Generic HQs and I ran my squads just a bit different.

Long time, no post D:

First off, there are a lot of pictures here. Frankly, they don't resize, so they might run off the page. I don't feel like doing ALL these pictures manually. SO! If you want to see the full picture. Just click on it! That being said...

It has been quite a while since I have posted and i'm finally here to show you what's going on with the army! Well. First off, to start, 'Ard Boyz! I placed 9th. :P I tried to paint most of my army in time for 'Ard Boyz and I made quite a bit of progress. While I write this, i'm taking the pictures and uploading them as we go! (With the exception of a few photos I took at 'Ard Boys shown here.) This is me playing Deathwing Termies and losing. 'Ard Boyz 1
'Ard Boyz 4

And here is the final game of the day along with a store wide photo.
'Ard Boyz 3
'Ard Boyz 2

It was a really fun day, and I did horrible but it was my first tournament. I hope to do better next time.

I have made process with painting and such, so i'll show you some random pictures. :P
First off is Tactical Squad I. Also, sorry about the blurry photo! (Everyone has a roman numeral designation on their shoulder pad that goes to each squad. This is I, which they all have on their right shoulder pad. I didn't get a picture but take my word. :P)
Tactical Squad

Here is The Sergeant with a power fist, Jacob Brown (Cameo of our friend), and a really cool guy I did with a Lancer from Gears of War.
Three of my favorites from Tac Squad I

Here is a thing of Terminators I have painted. The sergeant with the power sword was my first paintjob right next to the other 5 that were very recent paintjobs. You can see the difference in skill between the two, i'm sure!
Terminators
It was around the time of painting this and my ironclad below, I got really into caution stripes. :P I've always wanted them in my army because hell. They look really cool! Here are three notable paintjobs. You can really see the difference here.
Three notable Terminators
I plan to get Dwarf Bronze and go over the bronze studs on the sergeant.

Also, my new vindicator. You can see it at the first picture but here are two where you can really inspect it. Barely has any painting done but it'll be finished really soon. I'll post when it is!
Vindicator side

That being all done, i'll show you pictures of my upcoming builds and paints.
Venerable Dreadnought
Half built, Venerable dreadnought
Some Assault Terminators

Should be getting those done soon. As well, I have some special stuff I want to do to the bases for both of these projects above. It may have something to do with this little free present I got from Wayland Games.
Ghoul Sprue

However, some sad news. I was talking about a cool bike I was going to do along with a bike squad. I hinted it many times. Well. I used bikes, didn't like them. THEN my friend fucking broke my damn 4 wheeler. I figured, fuck it.
Here is the finished product on that bike.

Oh well. I'll post more when I paint more. Considering I started buying my own paints, you should see more soon!

Alright. I got to basing ALL my painted guys that I have.
Getting to the basing...
This is when I was doing my Jump pack guys but I have all my guys done now. I'll post new pictures of them some time around. I do want to have my completed squads up so that I can have some real form of feedback.
Here is my Ironclad I painted myself. It is mainly black which is a little unfortunate because BLACK AND RED is our scheme with bronze. Which I barely did, haha.
Ironclad Dread 3
Ironclad Dread 2
Ironclad Dread 1
I might go back and completely RED out his kneepads. Not sure. It'd be harder because he is based and flocked and all that good stuff now. :P

Finally got a list together for 'Ard boyz. I do hope that I can get the tactics worked out for it in time. I will only have two days to text it out. One day, 5 days to fix it and another day to test the tweaks. Not good, not good indeed. However, i'll post the list up and hope for the best.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

So this post has a lot more pictures in it. I've been painting a little bit, just getting some of the guys done because I really gotta finish my infantry.

Still working...

I did my first "Heavy Weapons Scheme" that I planned to do. They are supposed to look like the regular Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3. Sorry that one picture is blurry.

Here is a picture of a newly painted tac marine, an older but cooler tac marine with bionics, and a SGT that I just randomly painted but i'm truly proud of.

Pretty much, those are just a few. I will start posting up full finished squads though!

I have to start painting again later today, so keep posted here for more

'Ard Boys

Alright guys. I know I haven't posted in a while but progress has been slow considering that Airsoft has taken a good portion of my life. However, I found out about the upcoming 40k 'Ard Boys and I am really excited to progress with my army to get it ready for the tournament. I have to make up a good 4 or 5 lists and play them all to see which one has more success. However, the only real work that has been done was the bikes. Although, I haven't even primed them because once I do, they WILL be painted and I have no foam right now. None the less, i'll post a picture of their stage.

These bikes...

Also, on an unrelated and irrelivant note. I went to buy BBs for airsoft last week and I bought them in a 5000 bb pack in a tub. Well I expected them to just be in a tub and that's that. However they were packaged in these weird vacuum sealed cocaine packs as show in the picture below... Tell me that isn't weird or sketchy to a certain extent. I guess it's only because they are Bios...

Cocaine bagged BBs?

None the less, when i'm finished, i'll post my lists here for everyone to see and hopefully get some feedback on.... I need to use this as motivation to get my army done because I REALLY need to get my army done...

Another irrelivant and unrelated note. I talked about my youtube in another blog earlier. Just want to say I started another projected to replace doing my one a day vlog project because my friends were interested in getting involved. It turned into 7 people posting a vlog a week on their day on a single youtube! www.youtube.com/TheSinCitySocialClub and I didn't mean to make it seem like it's named after myself or that it's after the real place. But it ended up like that... Sorry guys! However, I do want to thank the readers so far. At least i'm getting somewhere with this blog!

Thursday, March 18, 2010

I'll believe that when me shit turns purple and tastes like sherbert.

Just wanted to say Happy St. Pattys to everyone!

I know I haven't posted much. I've been super busy with my youtube, seeing at i'm posting vlogs daily, or trying to. Eh... As far as the army goes.

I've got someone who is willing to paint what you saw in the picture in the last blog, which i'm sure most of you know what that would be.

I'm going to start posting stuff that has been painted and you can see the whole army. I'll start at troop choices and work my way down.

Just be patient.

Working...

Working...

Got something i'm working on again. However, you won't see these put together until they are painted, so give it sometime. It'll be worth it.

Try to take a guess in my comments. Shouldn't be too hard if you look close.

Back from being silent

Hey people. I'm sorry I haven't been updating on any of my blogs. Lots of stuff going on with not too much time to blog. I was at TBS and got to play some Warhammer 40k though... The new battle missions book is out and I got my first taste of it at TBS.

This is one picture I took in a Kill Teams game.
Fawks with his partner spotting taargets
I ended up falling in love with the new Kill Teams rules, which definately made me think. Maybe this is all I want to play as far as 40k for the time being...

I plan to update more, no worries. I'll get around to it.

TBS Saturday

So to start this blog. I would like for everyone to know that I am officially sick. So until full recovery, expect the frequency and size of the blogs to decrease. However, you never know. I may feel inspired to write a long blog. :P I said expect, but that doesn't mean it's inevitable.

Today I went to TBS. It's the local 40k Hangout. Here in the picture below, you can see my stuff sitting out after I finished a game. It was against Tyranids and I didn't do so hot. In fact, I was sickly feeling, therefore, I didn't pay too much attention to the day.

Post game

Here, an update on the Command Squad. This is the priming of the squad. And I know I said I would get a standard bearer picture but I didn't... I'm feeling really lazy, so I don't really believe i'll get to it on this blog but just wait, he WILL be up. You can see him in the first pic of my stuff at TBS. Bottom left, guy with the flag. One side has our logo printed on it, with the other saying "Gladius Invidia Deo" And a cog just below it.

Priming

Hard at work!

Alright. More progress. First off, we have the FREE Venerable Dreadnought here. It's undergoing more assembly, nearing completion to the degree specified. We won't be putting the arms on, so that we may paint them seperately. (By we, I mean my painter and good friend Blade.)

Almost fully assembled Dread...

Next we have 4 of our guys from our 5 man Command Squad that i'm getting together. The first picture is a Veteran on the left, and our Champion on the right. (Sorry they are poor. I'll get you better photos I promise!) The one on the left is actually fully primed, with mold lines. D: Our Champion is unprimed but beast as hell! On the left. Bolter and Count as Power sword or what I call, a POWERSHANK! And you can't see his head but it's a really cool one. You'll see in a better picture ;) On the right. Power sword, combat shield and a whole can of whoopass!

Command squad. Part 1

And next we have my Apothecary, who is assembled and not primed and another veteran who is badass with his Combi-Plasma and power sword, count as of course. It goes off the page but it's a machette! POWER MACHETTE! For sure. I'll get better pictures, I promise!

Command squad. Part 2

Oh! And I will get my standard bearer up in the next blog. I promise! :) While you wait for the next blog. Check out the Youtube. www.youtube.com/sinnestersorrow
